It costs more to buy gifts on site. Myth, or Real?

 
Good morning everyone. The question at hand today is if it is cheaper to buy trinkets off site, or on. Over the years I have heard many comments on how it is cheaper to buy things at a local store and take them to give as gifts to your travel members.

There are a few things to consider when planning your shopping for special trinkets. First, do you want generic merchandise, or do you want something that will be more unique and special to the trip? Remember the items purchased in the park or Downtown Disney will often have area specific embellishments.

Money consideration aspect: The items you will find on site cost the same, if not less than what you would buy and bring. Also, often times Walt Disney Travel gives discount coupons for stores that you may visit. So in short, it is a MYTH that it's less expensive off site.
